In a world where empowerment ignites change, SustainMe emerged as a beacon of hope, resilience, and transformation for vulnerable women. Marking a decade of impact, SustainMe stands tall, a testament to the strength found in collective determination, unwavering support, and the limitless potential within every vulnerable woman it embraces

From its humble beginnings a decade ago, SustainMe has been a nurturing force providing a myriad of resources, opportunities, guidance and mentorship to vulnerable women.

With a small seed grant of $133 from our passionate founder Samuel Wanyagira, 5 women were empowered with essential skills and financial support for their businesses and from that small seed, SustainMe has been able to empower over 5000 women since 2013, enabling them to provide for their families, cover school and basic needs through skills development, empowerment programs and financial inclusion.

As SustainMe celebrates 10 years, it is filled with joy, gratitude, a renewed commitment to the journey

SustainMe’s 10 year journey has shown that the strength of a woman is undefeated when nurtured with support, opportunity and belief. This celebration therefore is a reminder of the work to be done, the vulnerable women yet to be empowered and the potential from the women yet to be unleashed.

Our remarkable 10-year milestone is a call to action for all to join hands with SustainMe to support and empower women because in doing so we transform the lives of vulnerable women and their families.

Looking ahead with a vision of empowerment for every woman, our celebration of the past 10 years is not just a reflection but a bold step into the future. SustainMe is gearing up to broaden its impact, reaching more vulnerable women through inclusive finance, skills, and empowerment. The cornerstone of this vision is the upcoming Women’s Centre—an embodiment of hope and empowerment.

The Women’s Centre will serve three crucial purposes:

• Empowerment Hub: A space where women can access practical skills in business, crafts, finance, and vocations, including sewing, bakery, and farming.
• Safe Refuge: Providing a haven for families under threat for 1-3 months, the Centre will run an empowerment program, equipping them with skills and tools to initiate sustainable income-generating activities.
• Healthcare Hub: Offering medical facilities, the Women’s Centre will cater to the well-being of women and their families.
