We are thrilled to share with you about work and activities of the month of April. The month saw Sustain Micro Enterprise reach out to vulnerable women and their families with love and support, our work helped women and children to live a better live. We are committed to transforming the lives of the women and their families. Thank you to all our friends, supporters and donors who are helping us to serve the women, every support you offer to us counts a million times and its impact is everlasting.
Our goal is to empower vulnerable women to provide for themselves and their families. And this is only possible when women have income generating activities. Each time, each day we have vulnerable women approach us to help them get started on their journeys to move out of poverty. We are thrilled that we were able to help women create new small businesses. Each time we a help a woman to start up a small business, we are at peace knowing that a family is saved from hunger and moving in a right direction to journey out of poverty.
Throughout the month, we had women receive small start-up loans to start and grow their small businesses. A small loan means a lot to a woman, with a loan she is able to finance her business and this means that she can earn an income and provide for her children with food, school fees and other basic needs. And to Sustain Micro Enterprise, a woman being able to feed her children is a big milestone.
Inspiring gifts provide a great opportunity to empowering women fight poverty. Gifts ranging from giving a goat, school fees, tools, small start-up loans to business classes are very instrumental in enabling families to thrive. We want to take this opportunity to thank you all who donated a gift to the women and families in Uganda. Your inspiring gift helped to make a difference and brought a smile on the faces of women who received them. The following gifts were donated and received by the women and their families; small start-up loan, a goat, garden tools, medical treatment and school fees. Our special thanks to our friend and Board of Director Carole Gregory for the inspiring gifts she donated to the women and her continuous support to create a better life for the women and families in Uganda. Business assessment involved visiting and checking on the women’s small businesses. Through business assessment, we were able to help the vulnerable women improve on their businesses in the different areas. During assessment, our team was able to evaluate the progress of the businesses and offered advise where required.
