We are very thankful to Hannah for the fundraising campaign she hosted. Through the campaign, Hannah was able to raise funds to support our work of setting up the Women’s Centre. The money will be used to see our Women’s Centre come to a reality.
Thank you very much Hannah for generously donating towards our mission of empowering vulnerable women and families to fight poverty.
Through the support of Rotary Walsall, Sustain Micro Enterprise was able to establish a new group of 7 women. The women’s group is called Agali Awamu which literally means “Togetherness”. The women attended a 1 month business training after which they were able to receive small start-up loans. The women have used the money to start up small businesses such as fish selling, grocery, charcoal, baking among others.
We are very grateful to Rotary for sharing your love with the vulnerable women and families in Uganda. With your generous support, the women will now be able to provide for their families with the income they earn from their small businesses.
We continued to meet weekly with the women in their respective groups. As we met, we facilitated weekly group discussions where we refreshed women on business skills, inspirational and successfully stories of the women in small businesses. This was done to keep the women reminded about good business practices and how to sustain their small businesses. Areas of focus for the month included financial planning, inspirational story sharing and cash flow.
We are happy the women love it and they are actively participated!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our donors and friends for supporting our work with the women and always donating and sharing inspiring gifts with the women and their families.
Florence was excited to receive a gift of a goat! The goat is a source of income and provides nutritious milk for the women and their children. Florence and her children will be able to get milk from their goat and once it reproduces, they can sell off the young ones and earn an extra income.
Our appreciation to Helen for sharing this gift of love with the women and families in Uganda.
