Agali Awamu Women’s Group is now thriving, meeting together and enjoying the company of each. The word “Agali Awamu” means togetherness. Thank you very much Rotary Walsall for your generous donation to Sustain Micro Enterprise-Uganda. With your support, a new women’s group has been created! The women were able to access free business training which helped them to learn about skills of starting up a sustainable small business.
With the completion of business skills training, each woman was able to access a small start-up loan to put her dreams and skills into practices. The women will use the money received to start up different small businesses and some of the business include baking, grocery, retail shop and fish selling.
The women in Agali Awamu Women’s group are so grateful for the opportunity you gave them to access small start-up loans and business skills, and they confess that the lack of these skills and capital was an obstacle for them to create sustainable businesses and thrive.
Thank you very much Rotary Walsall for generously donating to the vulnerable women in Uganda.
