Afaayo Women’s Group supported

A few months ago, with the support of our community of supporters, Afaayo group of 20 vulnerable women was empowered with small startup soft loans and business skills.  “Afaayo” is a local word which translates in English as God cares.

The women were eager to access business skills and startup loans to get their small businesses started. Much as they had desire to have income generating activities so that they can earn a daily income and provide for their children, the women lacked the capital and business skills to launch their businesses.

Through our women’s empowerment program, the women were able to access business skills and startup on their sustainable small business to earn a daily income. With the income earned, the women are now able to provide for their children with a meal, medical care and other basic needs which is the ultimate goal of our empowerment program.
