Lydia Hamba became a sole provider for her family
Lydia Hamba became a sole provider for her family after her husband died in an accident. But life got even worse for the widowed mother of three children when all the properties that the husband left behind were taken by the husband’s relatives and yet she had no job. “Through a friend, I heard about Sustain Micro Enterprise,” she says.
With a loan and business training, Lydia was able to start up a charcoal and firewood business in her local community. Lydia is very thankful and happy that she can now provide food and school fees for her children. “Because of the small loan I received through SME, my children are now happy,” Lydia says.
