Efulancy, 65 years old is a grandmother to 5 grandchildren. She became a widow 6 years ago after the loss of her husband to cancer. Since her caretaker was no more, life became complicated and this made it difficult to provide for her grandchildren with the basic needs.
Joining SustainME program was a big breakthrough for Efulance. She was able to acquire some business skills and a small startup loan which have helped her to build and grow her local brewing small business. Over the years, her small business has expanded enabling her to start a second business of pig rearing. It is amazing to see that now, the income generated from her businesses is helping to feed her grandchildren, send them o school, provide medical care among others.
“I’m very thankful to everyone who has been involved to change my life from our mentors, SustainME and our wonderful supporters”, says Efulance.
Bigs thanks to our amazing partners and supporters.
