Sylvia had a dream of building her own house so that she can have a better place to keep her children. The mother of 9 children is from a polygamous marriage and rarely receives any support from her husband for the children and the entire family so she has to work hard to provide.

Sylvia joined Sustain Micro Enterprise 2 years ago and had an opportunity to receive business skills training and a small loan of £87/$114. She used the business skills acquired and the loan to start up her own small business selling fish. Through her business, Sylvia has managed to improve on her life at home and she is now able to see her dream of building her own house come true. She has started building her dream house of bricks and sand. When her house is complete, its roof will be covered with iron sheets instead of grass, her house walls will be made up of bricks and sand instead of mud.
